Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray by Abbes (2014)

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray by Abbes (2014)

There are not too many models that give a designer the opportunity to design a super sports car. The C7 with its transaxle design and lightweight aluminum V8 sitting behind the front axle, the high performance transmission along with the differential unit in the back the car provides a well-balanced weight distribution. The double wishbone suspension with forged aluminum arms along with the cross member has the body weight at 3440 lbs. Body panels made from fiberglass, and other plastics make the car unsusceptible to rust and hail.

The generation C7 Corvette is using the newest technology like variable valve timing, direct injection, variable cylinder management and displacement pump, the new LT1 V8 motor provides 466hp out of 6.2L. For the fact that good is just not good enough the ABBES Corvette is an independent vehicle that outperforms the stock version in all aspects.

Having years of experience in designing body kits for high end tuners, Star designer ABBES from Luxemburg designed a body kit that blends in beautifully with the existing lines of the Corvette.

Not changing the characteristic look of the original car the body kit is never intrusive. Looking at it, it is not visible where the original ends and the new design begins.

All of the other modifications are much more significant, but are only revealed if you have the chance to sit behind of the steering wheel of the C7 Corvette Designed by ABBES Design.

Using a compressor with an excellent power distribution the motor will get that little extra pressure. Additional the intake air will get cooled down with and high performance cooling system to achieve the optimum combustion temperatures. The ABBES engineers perfectly adapted the electronic system of the motor and the ignition to the new requirements.

The 6.2 L motor provides a linear performance without lacking the power that is easily controllable and available at all times.

To handle the increase in power the ABBES specialists developed a high performance braking system with eight piston calipers on the front and four piston calipers on the rear axle.

Two piece rotors made from high density aluminum will assist in saving weight with its floating bearing it decouples the brake rotor from the axle. This will eliminate fading or distortion of the rotors. Ferrodo high performance brake pads will provide a constant controllable braking power in every temperature. The slotted rotors ensure a clean rotor surface, along with stability.

Last, but not least, a new ABBES coil over suspension will provide the optimum road handling. The standard combination with separate shocks and poly transverse leaf springs will be exchanged with our coilovers; they are adjustable in height, hardness and preloaded springs.

For more ambitious customers in need of more possibilities for adjustment, we can provide a version with an external oil tank that will have separate dials for compression and rebound to change the characteristics.
