(from WRAPworks Press Release) WRAPworks: The pony car legend in a neon outfit

Launched in 1964, the legendary Ford Mustang was the car that started the pony car revolution. And in Shelby form, it also became one of America’s iconic muscle cars.
Up to now, American car specialists or private individuals were responsible for all the Mustangs that found their way to other shores. Now Ford has finally made the latest, sixth generation car officially available in Europe.
Timo Lohmeier founded WRAPworks’ in the summer of 2012, with the mission of offering their clients a high quality vehicle wrapping, labelling, and window tinting service. Since then, Timo Lohmeier and his crew have built up a reputation for design excellence and perfect craftsmanship.
Although the ‘official’ Mustang is still quite a rare sight in Germany, WRAPworks have made their 421 hp, 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT ‘Fastback’ even more exclusive by turning it into a rolling showcase for their art.
WRAPworks moved into their current HQ in Engelskirchen near Cologne nearly a year ago. Covering an area of 320 sq m, this facility has two workstations with vehicle lifts, a showroom, office, and a comfortable waiting area for customers. This is where the team dressed their 2015 Mustang GT.
The basis of the design is a two-tone look. While the Mustang’s original Iridium Black Mica paint stays untouched on its front and roof, the rear and the flanks aft of the front wheel arches were covered in a matt silver metallic film.
With this as a base WRAPworks then began to create a complex design featuring a series of angled stripes and lettering in Chrome Silver and bright Neon Yellow and Neon Green that reveals new details from different angles as you walk around the car.
The Mustang’s factory 9.0 and 9.5x19-inch alloy wheels were powder coated Neon Green in front and Neon Yellow at the rear to match, and the final WRAPworks touch is a 95-percent window tint.
The American Mustang specialists Roush provided the Hood and Window Scoops, rear spoiler and under body diffuser that complete the visual upgrade.
To give the Mustang the go to match its show, WRAPworks undertook some minor performance upgrades as well. The 5.0-litre V8 now breathes more deeply through their Cold Air Intake system, while at the rear, the Roush four-pipe rear exhaust optically and acoustically underline the cars sportier look. In the cabin, the Roush gearshift knob make for slicker shifting.
Finally, ST X coilover suspension lowers the ride height and improves wheel control, while a combination of Eibach 40 mm front and Velocity Wheel 46 mm rear wheel spacers, and a Steeda Autosports G-Trac underbody brace further improve the Mustang GT’s driving dynamics, and its stance on the road.
